Small Potatoes

It's always fun to befuddle well-meaning customer service representatives.

This letter-exchange made me laugh more than anything I've seen all week. But beyond that, it raises an interesting point on the growing definition of design these days.

Being hosted by the website Design Observer (a graphic design and culture web destination,) it begs the question: is this a design project? Or just a mischievous plot culminating in boxes of free potato chips? I argue the former.
